This app is a tab editor. That means it will help you write, edit, and curate your own library of guitar sheet music.
We use our own flavor of the ChordPro standard to edit tab files.
To show where chords go, we use brackets:
My [C]Bonnie lies [F]over the [C]ocean
My [C]Bonnie lies [D]over the [G7]sea.
Use rows of dashes show tablature, or tab:
---0---------------|---0--------------
-----3-1-3-1-------|-----3-1-1-0-1-3--
-0-----------2-0---|-0----------------
-----------------2-|------------------
-------------------|------------------
-------------------|------------------
We’ll automatically recognize words like Verse
, Chorus
, Reprise
and more on their own, and give them special formatting.
To turn any line into a heading, put a #
sign at the very beginning.
Verse
My [C]Bonnie lies [F]over the [C]ocean
My [C]Bonnie lies [D]over the [G7]sea.
# Another heading
My [C]Bonnie lies [F]over the [C]ocean
TabBank uses ChordBank’s massive chord library to automatically find diagrams for most chords.

Changing the instrument associated with a song will change the diagrams to that instrument. Tapping on any diagram in “Practice & Play” mode will present a picker of all available diagrams of that chord for that instrument.
Add a capo to a song using the capo
